All-

We are currently in the process of converting all our hard copy right-of-way records into electronic format (FileNet). I would like to know how other utility companies are handing these types of records. We have one attorney saying that once we upload them into FileNet, we can then destroy the hard copies; then we have another attorney saying that we should still retain the hard copies in case we go to trial-an original has more of an impact in a lawsuit. I should also include that these records are for our Distribution and Transmission right-of-ways; the Distribution right-of-ways are not recorded in a courthouse. Any insight or advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Best regards,
