You are 100% correct. The State's records retention schedules solely provide minimum retention periods,
excepting those records which have a permanent retention.
The UF RM lists are a tremendous resource.

We keep all documents that are either Fixed Assets or Capital Projects on a permanent retention. In some of our past audits, they have been known to review docs that go back 10 - 15 years. We may be to the extreme end of the spectrum, but so far it has only helped.
