In all fairness, if someone is not interested in receiving the messages,
they will probably not read the messages that tell them how to
unsubscribe.

I suppose we should be grateful that people actually try to unsubscribe,
not just mark each message as spam (which is a very big problem).

One list I am on responds to unsubscribe postings with poetry - good
karma :)

Maybe the message at the footer of each posting should be changed to
explicitly state that people can manage their subscription, not just
find the list archives?
