Good afternoon.

I am currently researching the Federal and state retention requirements to retain employee schedules and/or time cards. The Federal requirement I have found in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is to preserve payroll records for at least three years. State requirements vary between one to six years based upon the state's payroll tax recordkeeping requirements and if the employees are subject to minimum wage.

Just want to make sure I am on the right track. Any advice, comments or other research references?

  Thanks.
