Speaking of records consultants, I have had companies tell me that  
certain consultants work very hard to move you to certain offsite  
storage companies.  By taking advantage of the relationship, they  
moved the client into a situation where they were trapped into a  
hostage fee with this particular company.  Shouldn't a paid  
consultant warn you of known hazards?

It turns out that some offsite storage salesmen will help certain  
consulting companies win contracts and then on the consultant's next  
client............  well turn about is fair play.

There are several consultants on this Listserve and they are  
excellent.  In the past, others have described what they wish to  
resolve in their corporation and then asked for Case Studies with  
various consultants.  To me, this is a professional approach as you  
go to management with several suggestions as to what can be  
accomplished.  Plus you become brighter in the search process thereby  
helping you in your career.

Also, management doesn't always know what they want until you give  
them choices.

Sort of like going to lunch at a Greek Deli, you go in thinking you  
want an omelet and then after reviewing a five page, Four Point menu,  
you realize what you really wanted was the crepes with a side of  
spagetti with Bar B Que sausage followed by Key Lime Pie.

You would have never thought of that at Dennys.
