The link below is for a survey regarding Records staffing ratios in law
firms.  Information collected will be used to determine the matrix
between records tasks and staffing levels.  The conclusion desired is a
ratio of attorneys to records staff in law firms, and to understand how
task complexity affects that ratio.

 

I welcome anyone in a law firm to complete the survey.  You are also
encouraged to send this to law firm records professionals who may not
use this listserv.  The more responses we receive, the better the
quality of the analysis.  Many of us have looked for this ratio.  I am
hoping that, through the use of this survey, we can have a definitive
answer to present to our own decision makers.

 

Individual and firm information collected will not be revealed, shared,
or sold.  My Administrative Assistant and I are the only ones who will
see the individual results.  Analysis will be shared publicly, but only
in composite form.  No individuals or firms will be identified.  You are
welcome to contact me if you have questions about this survey or the
confidentiality of the results.

 

Thanks to MaryElla Walkup for her partnership on this project.  The
analysis will be made available to select listservs.  It will also
appear on the Web site of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of ARMA (
www.gkcarma.org <http://www.gkcarma.org/> ).  Expect the results no
later than February 1st, 2008.
