Clouds hanging over 'the cloud' | Stuff.co.nz
the Inland Revenue Department recently issuing a warning to Kiwi
companies to maintain their primary business records locally rather
than in off-shore data centres, as commonly occurs with cloud service
providers.

The warning reminds companies that only data physically located in New
Zealand would comply with record keeping obligations under the Tax
Administration Act and the Goods & Services Tax Act.
