I just tap them on the shoulder to get their attention, and when I do I
tell them "I'm sure this is in an important conversation, but I'm not
interested in being a part of it." usually get a huffy look then they get
up and move away.

the other thing is how many talk in a very loud voice, not realizing how
sensitive the phone's microphones are
