SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Hiring to fill two (2) positions. Incumbents in this position are
responsible for providing County-wide centralized records management
services including: document imaging; paper and electronic record
storage/tracking/access; and comprehensive records administration and
consultation to County offices and departments. Prepares and images
documents utilizing an electronic content management system. Performs
retrieval, delivery, pickup, filing, disposal, and related records
management services. Completes and maintains logs, indexes, and other
tracking of inventory and fiscal information. Consults regularly with
internal customers regarding records management best practices, location of
documents for internal use and public disclosure, and identifying and
applying appropriate record series and retention schedules to preserve
essential records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED and two years of general office experience which
includes customer service. Current Washington State Driver*s License or have
requested and obtained an appropriate accommodation. Must be able to lift
and carry up to sixty (60) pounds and ascend ladders while lifting boxes.
Must pass a background investigation.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Prior experience in providing records management services in a fast-paced,
team-approach, professional office environment. Knowledge of records
management principles and procedures and familiarity with Washington State
Archives records retention schedules. Experience analyzing and applying
correct disposition authority numbers to identified record series.
Experience with and proficiency using an electronic content management
system. Demonstrated customer service experience and problem resolution
skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use a
personal computer and proficiency with email, word processing, and
spreadsheet applications. Ability to perform basic math operations including
adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Ability to precisely and flawlessly file, retrieve and interfile documents.
Proficient alphabetization skills.
