Here are a couple of announcements you may find interesting. 

 

1. AIIM has just released a SharePoint Governance toolkit. It includes a
governance plan template, an overview e-book, and templates and worksheets
to help establish SharePoint governance. It's free to AIIM members and $199
for non-members. More details are available at

2. The AIIM ECM Master Training Program has just been revised from the
ground up - and has been preapproved by the ICRM for 8.5 credits for the
online ECM Practitioner Course and 8.5 credits for the ECM Specialist
course. Per the ICRM's custom we do not publish the code publicly but
attendees of either online course will receive the preapproval code upon
completion of the course. More information is available at
http://www.aiim.org/ecmtraining. 

 

3. AIIM is currently accepting nominations to serve on the association Board
of Directors for a three-year term beginning January 2013. Candidate
qualifications include:

.         knowledge of key industry trends and requirements

.         demonstrated commitment to AIIM and the industry

.         willingness to attend 3-4 Board meetings per year

.         experience in strategic planning, implementation and budgeting

.         AIIM Professional Member

 

As someone who served on both the AIIM Board (2004-2005) and the ARMA Board
(2007-2010) I cannot overstate how valuable I found the experience
