What an amazing accomplishment and well deserved Luciana.  Congratulations!  Not surprised though, since UBC is one of the world's leading schools in digital archiving and always delivers high quality work.

I am looking forward to reading the students' project results.

Subject: AIEF Awards to UBC students

Seven students entering their second year of the
Master of Archival Studies (MAS) of the
University of British Columbia (UBC)- Kane
Klemic, Valérie Léveillé, Lara Mancuso, Victoria
Ostrzenski, Kevin Owen, Joy Rowe, and Isabel
Taylor - have won 2012 awards from the ARMA
International Educational Foundation.  The awards
will be given to them by Christine Ardern and
Sharon Alexander-Gooding on September 25th, 2012,
at a pre-conference event organized by the Peter
Wall Institute for Advanced Studies, in
conjunction with the Emmett Leahy Award Committee
and Huron Legal, for the delegates of the UNESCO
Conference "Memory of the World in the Digital
Age: Digitization and Digital Preservation,"
which will be held in Vancouver, B.C. on
September 26-28, 2012 at the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel.

Students enrolled in the MAS at UBC have won AIEF
awards every year since the Foundation's
inception. This year the MAS at UBC has also
received the AIEF Inaugural "Award for Academic
Excellence in Records and Information Management."
