122 CHF is more than I'm willing to spend to answer this question.
A lot of ISO Standards take awhile to get traction in the US by strictly US
based organizations unless they are adopted by ANSI... this was definitely
the case with ISO15489, issued in 2001 but even though the SDC tried for 5
years to get ANSI behind it, they weren't interested.
Aside from ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 there aren't a lot that have citations of
requirements for document and records management that get paid a lot of
attention to... and those do only because organizations are regularly
assessed or audited against them for certifications.
