Some terms that make me want to correct people are:

State of the Art - Everybody uses that when they mean "Cutting Edge." State of the Art is just where the normal product technology exists. A cell phone is state of the art while an iPhone 6 would be cutting edge. And the reason for that is that iPhone is only on version #4 right now. Some might consider the #4 to be cutting edge, but I know the Apple people never release an iPod the size of a postage stamp until they have one the size of small rhinestone.  Which is basically me revealing that Apple has an iPhone and a iPod that can be worn as an earring or a nose stud. Or in India, they can wear it in the middle of the forehead.

So no more referring to things like Ford's new foot opening tailgate as State of the Art because for now it is cutting edge.  As soon as Toyota and Honda develop the tailgate that opens up when you shout "Open up you stupid hatchback!!" then Ford moves back to state of the art.

Now if some of are saying "Hugh, irregardless of that fact"...."Well stop right there!"

Irregardless is not a word in the sense that its Webster definition is regardless.  Regardless means "Without Regard” or without concern or without respect to a point of view. So the double negative would in fact mean you do have “Regard.”  So Websters would then describe that as “Irish Bull.”

Now why do they have to insult my heritage when I was merely making a point in counterpoint to Glen.

Websters is very negative to the Irish and I will just prove it here.......

Irish Bull is “An apparently consistent but actually illogical or inconsistent statement.”  which is exactly what irregardless is.  And my MacBook Pro verifies this when it places those dotted line below the word irregardless meaning it is wrong or misspelled.

Irish English is defined as "English as spoken by the Irish."  What the heck kind of insult is that? 

They also define Irish Coffee as “Coffee with whiskey in it." because we are all drunks...... That Webster guy is really starting make me mad.
