Felon who stole from State Archives gets second chance at state military
museum - Times Union

gotten a second chance to serve at the gateway to New York's heritage.

His first chance spanned nearly three decades. That's when he was a
$73,800-per year archivist with the State Archives, a well-regarded expert
on the Civil War and co-author of a book with noted historian Harold
Holzer<http://www.timesunion.com/?controllerName=search&action=search&channel=local&search=1&inlineLink=1&query=%22Harold+Holzer%22>.
But over the course of several years at that public post, he stole hundreds
of documents worth tens of thousands of dollars and sold many of them on
eBay, or traded them to collectors.
