Good afternoon,

Husch Blackwell LLP is a full service law firm with approximately 600 attorneys firm wide representing a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds. We have an immediate opening for a Records Coordinator in our Chicago office.

The Records Coordinator works under the direction of the Records Manager. This position will plan, schedule, and assign daily work regarding records and information management issues in the implementation of active records systems, retention schedules, and archive records systems. Daily activities include maintenance of active and archived case materials.

Essential job functions include:

ˇ         Provide RIM program and policy training.

ˇ         Assist in developing RIM system specifications by utilizing best practices, assessing business needs, and clearly documenting requirements.

ˇ         Protect the integrity and authenticity of records.

ˇ         Support and train others in the use of technology to accomplish tasks in support of RIM program objectives.

ˇ         Plan, schedule, and assign daily work tasks including making / changing LAA filing assignments; assigning responsibility for special projects; coordinating with Records Manager to arrange for adequate coverage of all areas when staff are absent; assessing need for overtime; training and assigning work to interns and other temporary staff.

ˇ         Facilitates miscellaneous services to clients, including new employee orientations; lawyer arrivals and departures; transfer of files to clients or outside parties.

ˇ         Reports regularly to department management on team goals, objectives, projects, and accomplishments.

ˇ         Work with Records Manager to coordinate information creation, receipt, storage, retrieval and disposition.

ˇ         Performs routine file creation, organization, and maintenance tasks.

ˇ         Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Requirements:

ˇ         High School Diploma or GED required.

ˇ         2-3 years' relevant experience required, preferably in a professional services environment; experience in Husch Blackwell Records operations preferred.

ˇ         Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, general database systems and technology in general.

ˇ         Ability to operate standard office equipment.

ˇ         CA Records Manager experience preferred.

ˇ         Ability to deliver superior service to all internal and external customers and communicate effectively.

ˇ         Ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner with clients and employees at all times; professional appearance required.

ˇ         Ability to successfully perform position requirements with excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills required.

ˇ         Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to changing business demands.

ˇ         Ability to produce acceptable amount of work efficiently and accurately; ability to produce quality final work product.
