Well, here in Oz I'm working with a semi-government public utility company,
and anything like that is banned by policy.
Our firewalls prevent accessing social media sites from work, including
Facebook, but of course if I were a sales rep (sorry, consultant) I could
do it from outside the firewall. If found out, it's then a breach of policy
and I'd be in pretty serious trouble.
Incidentally, I just checked accessing Facebook and the firewall warning
popped up and stopped me. If I do that a couple more times in a month I'll
be invited to a discussion with IT security and my manager.
But how long can we continue to brace up the floodgates?
Cheers
Glenn

These views are mine alone. They may or may not be those of any
previous or present employers or clients. I don't know. If I'd asked and
they'd agreed, I would have signed it "Harry Peck and Co and Glenn".
Or whatever. But I haven't, so I didn't.
