Hello Irene,
Lee has provided you with some good tools about space planning.  I would
suggest that you approach the meeting with the architect as a discussion
rather than a series of questions from you to them.  In fact, they
will most likely have several questions for you.

You need to be very prepared and know the details of your operation in
terms of volume, activity, staff and current space and layout.  This isn't
a matter of "what will they give you", but rather a matter of what do you
need to do your job effectively and efficiently.  Obviously things are
going to change, but you need to be an active participant in the planning
and negotiating for adequate space.
