For those who don't already know, I'm leaving my current position on Feb. 1.  The opening for my replacement has been posted, and I wanted to share it with the listserv (see below).

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, is recruiting for a Manager of Business Intake and Records responsible for the management of the firm's paper and electronics records and support of its electronic business intake and related workflows. The position includes the supervision of the Records Department staff, plus a dotted line responsibility for File Room personnel throughout the Firm's 16 world-wide offices. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of established records and data management theory, practice and procedures, protection of data, maintenance, and disposition of client and administrative records. The Records Manager is responsible for developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures, administering the Electronic Records Management (ERM) system, (iManage Records Manager), supporting the electronic Matter Management System (matter intake), ethical wall management, inactive records storage management, including development and implementation of records retention and destruction programs. The person identifies technology requirements and recommends automation and other enhancements to improve user services. The Records Manager will report to the Chief Security Officer and work closely with the Office of the General Counsel.

Job Responsibilities
*         Manage all aspects of firm and client information, both hard copy and electronic.
*         Provide support, guidance, mentoring, and education, to ensure that appropriate monitoring and controls are in place for compliance within established policies and procedures.
*         Participate in firm-wide records management, matter management system and related risk management training to attorneys and staff.
*         Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, monitor attendance and implement training programs.
*         Oversee new employee orientations, attorney arrivals and departures, transfer of files within and outside the firm.
*         Negotiate vendor contracts, approve invoices, monitor expenses, and prepare department's annual budget.
*         Maintain a close working relationship with Conflicts, Billing, Docket & Calendar, and Information Technology departments.
*         Stay current with emerging technologies and provide industry best practice on solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
*         Manage information on the Records Department intranet site.
Preferred Experience
*         Applicants should have a minimum of five years relevant work experience in Records Management in a large law firm environment.
*         4 year college degree.
*         Certified records manager (CRM) credential preferred.
*         Extensive knowledge of Records Management/Information Governance best practices relevant to the legal environment.
*         Strong computer and database skills utilizing ERM and document management systems.
*         Strong trouble-shooting, investigation and problem solving skills.
*         Exceptional interpersonal skills and project planning skills are essential for this position with the ability to work effectively with end-users, IT peers, managers and attorneys.
*         Must have advanced written and verbal communication skills.
