August 11-14, 2013, is the annual NIRMA (Nuclear Information and Records Management Association) Conference in Las Vegas. The Nuclear Information and Records Management Association (NIRMA) is the nuclear industry's leader in information and records management. Since 1976, NIRMA has been uniquely qualified to provide guidance to commercial and Department of Energy facilities in the areas of quality records programs, regulatory compliance activities, electronic records initiatives, document management technologies, and knowledge management issues.
Our annual conference is attended by 120-150 persons and 15-20 vendors, and offers technical sessions and speakers with focus on leadership, performance improvement, professional development, electronic records (including PDF/A), etc., as well as topics more specific to nuclear records and information management. Our Technical Guidelines, Position Papers and White papers cover topics ranging from Configuration Control, Software QA, Disaster recovery, and a very detailed document (TG15) on managing electronic records. The publications are free to members.
NIRMA is also co-author of ANSI/NIRMA CM 1 (Configuration Management). We are a not-for-profit focused on education and sharing our knowledge and experience.
