My name is Jamillah Gabriel. Like my classmate,Julie, I’m taking Records and Information Management at Emporia StateUniversity. I work at a cultural center which means my job, though primarily inthe library, extends well beyond books. I’ve become the point person for thearchives as well as the art collection,so I’m finding I need to develop policies where none previously existed. Needless to say, coursework (beyond theMLIS) in archives management and museum studies is proving to be very helpful,as I’m sure this listserv will also be. I look forward to gaining some new insightfrom you all.
