Which I've always thought was ridiculous, even when I was on the Board, and
even when I ran the Election Committee. I understand the stated reasons
behind the proscription, I just think they drive electioneering below the
surface and make elections that much more of a name recognition contest
rather than a meaningful airing of differences, especially for the
President and Treasurer positions.

In fact, were I to run for an ARMA office in the future I'd make a point of
blogging about it, and blogging about my own positions on the items on the
strategic framework and those I thought were missing, and then dare the EC
to kick me off the ballot. :) If everyone running did it, they couldn't
kick all of em off, right? And you'd actually have a meaningful discussion.

Anyway, who's all going? Looking forward to seeing all my peeps in Vegas
and meeting some of y'all for the first time!
