Opinion: An Open Challenge on Record Destruction | Next Generation Records
Management
Defensible disposition – destroying information after it has met all its
relevant internal and external retention requirements – is the single most
important service records and information management professionals provide
to their customers. And it will only become more and more critical as the
volumes of newly created information continue to explode. It is vitally
important that those of us tasked with managing the information lifecycle
can confidently and efficiently practice disposition in good faith without
the fear of unfair penalties.
