I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself, as I am a new subscriber to
this list. Well, sort of. I subscribed to it quite a few years back. I own a
company called Prime Compliance, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I spent
12+ years working at a local records management company before launching
Prime in January 2013. I perform HIPAA training for the management and
staffs of record centers, scanning/imaging companies, document destruction
companies and data vaults. I also have provided training to covered
entities. I also do risk assessments, risk management, contract review,
policies and procedure review/creation, review employee handbooks, review
business associate agreements, etc. I have presented educational sessions
and panel discussions at several annual conferences for PRISM International,
National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) and the Data
Protection Association (DPA). I have also spoken for several ARMA chapters,
AITP Chapters, PRISM Fundamentals of Records Management Workshops, PRISM
Data Protection Workshops, etc. I also had the opportunity to serve on the
Board of Directors for PRISM International for 2 years.

I look forward to being a part of this group.
