We have each division (Dept) manager appoint a records liaison (same as coordinator) for their division. The laisions are responsible for performing and monitoring the RIM policy and procedures within their divisions. We have formal training sessions when policies and procedures change, but we also do one-on-one training when a new person is appointed. We are currently working on developing audio slide shows for each of the procedures which will be available over our intranet.
We also have a Records Management Steering Committee which sets RIM policy and procedures. There is a representative from each division appointed by the respective division manager. Most of the divisions appoint the records liaison to the Committee so they serve a dual function. The Committee meets at least quarterly.
