Larry,
Your point about writing a CYA e-mail message is certainly good advice. Did
you notice the part of the article though where the subject of the story said
that his boss demanded that nothing sensitive be put into an e-mail to him?
“If there is something controversial, you don’t text or call him. You go see him
in person.”
So then one would still be in the same mess - follow instructions or be fired.
The boss asking that he not be e-mailed or texted is a bit of a red flag right
there, obviously.
