Has anyone's processing workflow consisted of several record boxes full of 
documents that sit in their office/processing room for several weeks as 
they process them (between more immediate priorities)?

Charlene I routinely did this when I worked at a small organization. It 
helps if you have a larger office with a dedicated space where the 
documents won't get mixed up with the those of your daily work.
