KOCHI: In a shocking incident, as many as 80 sacks of files belonging to
various departments of the corporation were recovered from scrap dealers in
the city. The recovered documents include audit reports, cheques, drafts,
registers, files related to building permits issued to prominent realtors,
property tax records and RTI applications. Most documents are from the
2009-14 period.
