I work for a local government and our board is 7-member advisory commission comprised of citizens who can contact the city council and other city agencies.  It works very well for us and 7 members is a good size for the commission--not so large and unwieldy that nothing gets done.

Hi Todd,

Thanks for the quick response.  Your committee structure is very similar to those I've had at other places I've worked.  At one company, we were IT and Legal top-heavy as 3 of the 13 team members were from IT, and another 3 were attorneys (and I reported to the VP and General Counsel at that time too).  You have lots of directors and senior-level members o n your committee and that always makes for a good, empowering group!  And yes, I got your committee charter too.
