Panel Discussion: Differing Perspectives on Information Governance
Moderated by Tina Teree Baker, IGP, President, Cadence Group

The phrase "Information Governance" seems to be like "Knowledge Management"

- the definition is different depending on the person attempting the
definition! This Panel discussion between thought leaders in RIM,
eDiscovery, IT Governance, and Security/Declassification will focus on
issues and trends in Information Governance as it relates to their specific
fields. Topics discussed will include the impact of new technology, the
increasingly electronic nature of information, the operationalization of
Information Governance, and threats to the integrity of information. In
addition, the speakers will outline how they foresee their respective fields
evolving in the near term and longer term to handle these impacts and what
they need from each other. The panel hopes that by exploring the varying
perspectives of each stakeholder, the audience will take away knowledge and
insight about the broad field of information governance as well go forward
strategies on how Information Governance professionals from different fields
can work together to achieve common goals. This promises to be a very lively
evening!

practice.
