Rob,
The Environmental Guidelines for the Storage of Paper Records (TR01-1995), is a Technical
Report issued by NISO and is not a standard. Per their website:
NISO Technical Reports provide useful information about a particular topic, but do not make
specific recommendations about practices to follow. They are thus "descriptive" rather than
"prescriptive" in nature. Proposed standards that do not result in consensus are often
published as technical reports.
You may find the TR01-1995 and read up on other technical reports here:

knowledge of the community regarding a standard. This is the standard (TR01-1995 -
Environmental Guidelines for the Storage of Paper Records) mentioned in the Saffady book
"Records and Information Management" on page 86. I looked on the NISO site and couldn't
find anything indicating it has been revised or replaced. Does anyone know if there is a
revision or a preferred standard to this one?
