who don't know what Greg is referring to
CTRL+B = bold
CTRL+U = underline
CTRL+I = italize
for the above use the commands before and after the phrase you want to change
CTRL+C = copy (highlight the phrase, word etc you want to copy or cut)
CTRL+X = cut
CTRL+V = paste
