We've used GAIN for Windows for 8 years and for a variety of reasons, I and
my co-workers dislike the software.  I also disliked the way Triadd
Software tried to force GAIN 2000 down my throat.

Another issue is that our parent organization, the Library of Virginia,
ended up suing Triadd Software--and won--because GAIN 2000 could never
perform the way the company advertised it.

I'm glad that you have been happy with GAIN, and I was happy to receive
your e-mail because I want to hear from as many people as possible.
Organizations have different needs, and what works for one may not work for
another.

I used Gain for  years in a previous facility and it had all the
functionality you mentioned.  Tracking boxes, manage circulation and
destruction and
requests.  They have a newer version available I believe so  you might
contact
them.
