Gus: We have two series for litigation records.  The bulk of the case file is maintained 6 years after final disposition of the case.  Final judgments and opinions, legal advice memoranda's, sworn statements and affidavits made in connection with the case and settlement agreements are maintained permanently.  This requires a bit of weeding at the end but if these document types are kept separate as they are created, it is not too bad.  Good luck.
