Dewey Ballantine LLP, an international law firm headquartered in NYC, has
an
opening for an assistant in its Conflicts Department.

Responsibilities include:
-- Working with and providing assistance to the firm's Conflicts Department
staff in
matters related to the conflict search process.
-- Assisting with maintenance of the client/matter database, including
revisions of
existing client, matter, party and corporate family information to conform
with
established standards.
-- Assisting the Conflicts Manager in the maintenance of ethical walls.
-- Providing back-up assistance to other members of the department.

Qualifications:  B.A., excellent office skills, including typing,
proofreading, and
spelling.  Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, telephone and
written) and
a professional manner.  Previous data entry and online database search
experience
preferred.  Ability  to organize and prioritize workload.  Ability to
understand and
follow specific and detailed instructions.  Ability to perform detailed
work accurately,
thoroughly and consistently.   Excellent team-work skills. Previous
comparable law
firm experience a plus.
