I've been reading about the upcoming amendments to the Federal Rules of
Civil Procedure. It will be interesting to see how these changes will
affect organizational awareness of records management, particularly when
it comes to strategies for preserving e-records over time. I can imagine
some judge in the future asking a business whether its decision to use
backup tapes for storage was a deliberate attempt to render those records
"not reasonably accessible."
Interesting times... ;)
