Hello all,
I'm wondering what your favorite sources of information are to keep up to
date on the subjects of records management, archiving, and conservation. I
am particularly interested in anything relating to data, or things that are
subject to be digitized. In other words, I would be more focused on
preserving historical books or audios or videos in a digital format and
media than their original paper or tape or film. I am interested in
conversion of such old forms to new digital forms. I am aware of the SAA
and ARMA and that they publish magazines. I may end up joining them. I am
also aware of the archives and records management discussion groups. Other
than those, what magazines, newsletters, websites, podcasts, videos, books,
or whatever do you recommend. I am particularly interested in free
subscription trade journals. Information on other professional
organizations is also welcome. Any tips you could give me would be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ron
