Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible the creation and maintenance of an Global
Data dictionary recording all data fields captured, calculated, and
reported from global systems. Key to the role will be working with
business leaders in different operating segments and geographies to
achieve consistent coding where needed/desirable. In additional the role
will be responsible for ensuring all data feeds/reconciliations are being
properly maintained (by relevant IT or business personnel) and core
reports are operating as expected. Other duties include:
· Responsible for the creation of a data dictionary (data
fields/definitions) and data map (inter system data feeds/calculus) and
ongoing maintenance thereof.
· Participation in the PMO processes to assess and manage
new/changes to existing data fields from IT development projects and the
downstream impact thereof.
· Responsibility for ensuring data feeds and reconciliations are
being completed on a timely and accurate basis by IT and business staff
· Oversight of the Data reporting team from a business perspective,
including establishing prioritization for reports and the
scheduling/testing and release thereof
· Working with key reporting personnel including communication of
data changes, training on data tools and assisting with the provision of
data to external parties (e.g. auditors, reinsurers)
· Assists COO/CEO with the development/production of global
operational and management reports as required
Qualifications:
· 5 years experience in a Global Insurance/Reinsurance company with
a Finance/Actuarial or data management/reporting background
· Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to meeting
daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
· Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, and tools of data
management such as data dictionaries, data warehousing, data mining and
data standardization processes
· Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Business or
Information Management)
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary dynamic team
environment
· Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Architecture
is desirable
· Strong knowledge of Insurance and Reinsurance business data and
related Finance (US and European GAAP and STAT) reporting
· This position must have a positive attitude, good verbal and

direction.

Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible the implementation and then ongoing
management (control/maintenance) of the Document Management System. This
includes the project management as each segment/function/location is
reviewed and migrated to the core platform as well as assisting with the
overall technical design and integration with our IT applications. It
includes responsibility for the design and maintenance of Global taxonomy
and index criteria. The role will work closely with the Business, IT
team, BPI group and the PMO to ensure a coordinated approach. Other duties
include:
· Create, promote, and manage the Document Management Strategy.
Ensure that the Document Management System is enhancing the business
strategy by assisting with Process efficiency, Peer Review, Business
Continuity Planning, Information Sharing, and Document Availability.
· Provide expert leadership and project management with regard to
segment/function and geographic implementations
· Work closely with the Project Management Office, IT, and Business
groups relating to all system and process improvement initiatives
representing the document management component.
· Responsible for management and maintenance of taxonomy and common
indexes Central point of contact for the business for any document
management issues.
· Overview and manage the Document Management SharePoint site.
· Monitor performance of Document management systems and report
regularly to management.
Qualifications:
· 5 years plus relevant experience in a Global Insurance/Reinsurance
company
· Substantial experience in Document Management Systems, especially
within insurance environments with proven track record on delivering large
scale projects
· Strong business acumen. Solid presentation skills, oral and
written communication skills and teamwork skills.
· Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred (preferably in
Computer Science, Business or Info Management). MBA a plus.
· Project Management Certification preferred
· Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to meeting
daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
· Knowledge of Database tools (SQL/Access), Excel, Word and
