I sent to be destroyed to indicate that in fact the items on my list
were destroyed.>

Receiving a detailed list from the shred provider of what they shredded
would only add to the paperwork expense and would certainly null the
privacy aspect.  If the provider has to look at the records in order to
list what is being shredded, they are then privilege to the confidential
or private content. We list what is being sent and match that up with
the appropriate destruction certificate.  We do follow our material to
the shredder on occasion, usually unannounced.  Those who use mobile
shred services can also be sure of what went into the shredder.
