Aloha All,
Records Management & its place with the organizational structure depends
on what the department is responsible for...Sometimes, Records
Management is a "catch-all" for a number of diffent functions including
legalities, reports management, document retrievals, etc.
With electronic records becoming more prevalent in the Banking industry,
you will find that Records Management departments are no longer in the
"administrative services" wing, but under either IT, Compliance, or
Security. My department is currently under the auspices of our IT
Division.
Have a great week!
