The NY City Bar has released a new Ethics Opinion that addresses the
appropriateness of including language in engagement letters to form an
up-front agreement with a client about the disposition of the file at
conclusion of the matter. Really good stuff here - clear and relatively
explicit treatment of the subject. I expect this to be cited by other Bars
going forward as they tackle the same question in their jurisdictions.

Thanks to Lee Nemchek for posting to the AALL legal records listserv (and
note that Lee is also cited in the Opinion in footnote 1 - very rockstar!)
