Yes, I would love to share, but I don't believe that we are allowed to send attachments in the listserv, so send me a personal request to [log in to unmask] and I'll answer.

The great thing about Sharepoint is that it is very flexible and user-friendly. The bad news is that it is very flexible and user-friendly...hard to set business rules and lock it down. I had a tough time trying to decide how to slice up the Sharepoint implementation. Initially, I wanted to start building collaborative web sites for my users (with me managing the records management piece as an add-on), but email was a higher priority. I figured that if I could get my hands around that, the rest might go more easily. Then, I found out that others advocated a department-by-department approach...great if you have some easy to convert information silos that are not shared by to many user departments at the same time...but unfortunately I have core silo's of information shared by A LOT of departments. It's hard to bring everybody up at the same time and the users don't like having two places to search for things, so I have to be careful how I transition the records over.

Still working out how to position myself for those big silo's of core information. All ideas welcome.
