Great insight Brian. I'm definitely going to read Blake's article. I presented at the Mid-Michigan ARMA chapter last month on how RIM and IT professional can work together. If anyone would like a copy of the presentation let me know. ARMA also has a publication from 2009 for IT professionals on RIM. Much of the concepts back then still apply today.

Subject: IT & RIM Partnership

Aloha All,

With all the undercurrent & good natured jabs being delivered between the IT & RIM folks, I'd like to acknowledge Blake Richardson's "Forging a Partnership with IT to Build a Solid IG Program" article in the January/February 2014 Information Management publication. (see: http://imm.arma.org) It's an excellent article which outlines how IT and RIM professionals can work together and benefit from the collaboration. Since I sit on both sides in my organization, I can relate to the challenges ahead and the need for greater collaboration...

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mahalo,

Brian
