Program:  As
the Change Management Officer for the Electronic Records Archives Program at
the National Archives from 2002-2007, Fynnette Eaton witnessed first-hand how
difficult it can be to get people to accept change in their workplace.
Fynnette will use her experience to talk about the challenges in bringing about
change in the workplace.  She will then discuss why the decision by ARMA
to promote information governance is encountering the vocal resistance from
many records managers.

Speaker:  Fynnette
Eaton is a retired government archivist who worked for both the National
Archives and the Smithsonian Institution.  She has had 20+ years of
experience in archival management of electronic records.  Her experience
includes developing an in-house preservation system for electronic records, establishing
a change management program for a major IT project, launching an electronic
records program for the Smithsonian Institution Archives, and creating
retention schedules for Federal electronic records.  She is an adjunct
professor at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, has served on a variety
of research projects and has written and spoken on the topics of electronic
records and change management.  She was elected as Fellow of the Society
