I would agree, I would also make sure that you have a very firm understanding of the tax implications of fixed assets that are depreciated over a very long timeframe. If I recall the depreciation timeframes from a past life correctly, they ranged from 50 yrs for some transmission assets to 75 years for generation stations.
Failure to ensure retention of materials that support the cost basis for valuation through the entire period of depreciation + 6 years could be extremely costly to the organization.
