Business Analyst, Information Governance job in Chicago.

Special Counsel Information Governance is seeking candidates for a Business Analyst, Information Governance position in Chicago. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-orientated with a strong legal information governance knowledge base.

This position initiates and executes strategic projects involving records education, technology requirements and practice support objectives. The Business Analyst should be comfortable working with and presenting to attorneys and implementing records compliance standards.

Responsibilities:


*      Subject matter expert providing instruction and guidance in complex information governance and technical topics.

*      Ability to present information, educational materials and procedures pertaining to information governance and records management.

*      Ability to develop, strategize and lead records projects that uphold firm and industry compliance standards.

*      Analyze current information governance and records management educational requirements. Review and standardize educational training.

*      Develop and implement refresher e-learning courses and other useful learning tools.

*      Lead and develop teams to revise and create new best practice policies for legal support practice.

*      Serves as a primary contact and resource to attorneys and other staff, answering complex and detailed information governance inquiries.

*      Stays abreast of firm and industry changes and revises records as necessary.

*      Maintains relevant policies, procedures and guideline files and information.

*      Represents team, maintaining positive working relationships while working to meet overall business objectives.

Qualifications:


*      Bachelor's degree in law, information technology, compliance, business administration or information management required. PMP certification a plus.

*      Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical skills and organization skills.

*      Strong interest and experience in change management, information technology and project management.

*      Experience with standard software applications including Microsoft office, LegalKey and Autonomy worksite.

*      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
