Gary Link asked for feedback on views of a RRS from various levels. My
suggestions are shown below:

>At Ground Level:
>
>· Tells staff how long to retain their records. (Yes, I agree.)
>
>
>At 10,000 feet:
>
>· Demonstrates that the organization is aware of the regulatory and
>operational requirements to retain information.
>
>When a RIM program is implemented, it includes applying RRS to an
>organizationıs records. This leads to the following benefits:
>
>· Reduces cost.
>· Reduces risk.
>· Helps protect your assets and reputation.
>
>(The RRS only specifies how long the organization should retain records,
>it doesnıt enact anything. To put the RRS into action, an organization
>needs a program with policies and procedures, including those programmed
>into computing applications.)

As always, this is one womanıs opinion.
