MEERUT: Muzaffarangar administration on Monday started assessing the damage
caused by Sunday's fire <http://www.speakingtree.in/topics/nature/fire> at
the records room of the collectorate. By evening, it was found that at
least 20% of the records had been damaged. It was not clear whether files
related to the Hastinapur land grab scam were destroyed.

After the fire on Sunday, additional district magistrate (administration)
Indramani Tripathi had told the press that he was not ruling out the
possibility of the fire being a conspiracy by those accused in the land
grab scam.
