Carolyn, approximately twenty five years ago when I was in NC I had a
networking contact with the RIM Mgr of the Eastern Band of Cherokee.  These
are the descendents of the Cherokee who escaped the roundup and subsequent
trail of tears march to Oklahoma.

I do not remember her name.  Here is the tribe's website URL:
