At the request of the University of Alaska Archivist
search committee, I am providing the listserv the link to the University of
Alaska Fairbanks Archivist position job recruitment.

 

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is a Land, Sea,
and Space Grant university and an international center for research, education,
and the arts, emphasizing the circumpolar North and its diverse peoples. UAF
integrates teaching, research, and public service as it educates students for
active citizenship and prepares them for lifelong learning and careers.

 

University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) seeks
applications for the Archivist position. This position includes records
management responsibilities. 

 

The
Archivist, Alaska & Polar Regions Collections, Rasmuson Library, develops,
manages, and promotes manuscript and archival collections in the Alaska &
Polar Regions Collections (APRC&A). The Archivist is responsible for the
archives of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and for identifying, acquiring,
and managing manuscript collections relating to Alaskan peoples, political
life, history, and culture. The Archivist will collaborate with colleagues in
APR, at UAF, and in the larger scholarly community to develop services and
programs that promote the collections.
