DAYTON — Dayton’s 125-year history can now be held in the palm of your hand.

One external hard drive contains more than 21,000 pages of historical
documents — town minutes, court records, archived files and more — drafted
between 1889 and 2014, Cloud Peak Scanning owners Sherri Gazdik and Nadine
Gale told the Dayton Town Council Wednesday night.

“These ladies have taken, I believe, over 60 banker boxes and condensed it
into a hard drive that Sherri has in her hand,” Mayor Norm Anderson said.
“It eliminates a whole bunch of paper.”

"The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of
laissez-faire, unbridled competition.
They have occurred under the guidance of federal agencies, and under the
umbrella of federal regulations."
Senator Ted Kennedy, in defending trucking deregulation in 1978.
